Boston’s First Immersion Trip

By Briana Rinaldo

Boston Immersion TripDue to the success of previous immersion programs in Washington, DC, Baltimore, and New York City, Syracuse University Career Services has added an immersion program for students interested in pursuing careers in Boston. The program will take place May 14–17, 2017.

“This is the first time we’re running this program, and we’re so excited to offer students another immersion opportunity in a new city,” said Tracy Tillapaugh, assistant director of counseling in Career Services. “We visited Boston to garner interest from alumni and have a long list of alumni eager to meet students.”

While in Boston, students will visit a variety of companies and organizations, including Wayfair, Aetna, Fenway Park, the Massachusetts State House, America’s Test Kitchen and more. There will be networking opportunities for students interested in finance, advertising, higher education, sports and entrepreneurship. Students will also attend small group dinners with members of Syracuse University’s Boston Regional Council, as well as an entrepreneurship panel.
