Tom Darling ’81
Thomas W. Darling ’81 works in the financial services industry as the manager of Agawam Trust & Management. He also serves on the board of his family’s philanthropic foundation, the Tamarack Foundation.
An accomplished athlete, Darling was a member of the U.S. Olympic rowing teams in 1980, 1984, and 1988—taking the silver medal in the fifth seat of the men’s eight at the ’84 Los Angeles Olympics. He has maintained his interest in rowing, serving as membership chair of the Syracuse Alumni Rowing Association (SARA) and as a volunteer with the adaptive rowing program at Community Rowing Inc. He was also a crewmember of the Stars and Stripes racing yacht, winner of the 1987 America’s Cup.
Darling holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Syracuse University College of Arts and Sciences and a master’s degree from Boston University. He is married to Jillian Hosford Darling and has a daughter, Lia.
