Tracy Smith ’90

TracyTracy Smith ’90, director of marketing for landscape architecture and planning firm Copley Wolff Design Group, has more than 10 years of experience in Boston’s commercial real estate industry.

Previously with the Boston District Council of the Urban Land Institute, she served as director of public relations for Barletta Construction and Engineering, and as an account supervisor for Harron & Associates, a Back Bay public relations firm. She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

Smith was a member of the United States National Rowing Team in 1990 and 1991, and the 1992 United States Olympic Rowing Team. Among her athletic honors are induction into the Syracuse University Orange Plus Hall of Fame and receiving the SU Verhulst Sportswoman of the Year Award in 1988 and 1989.

She is president of the Syracuse Alumni Rowing Association (SARA), New England Women in Real Estate, Commercial Real Estate Women, the Society of Marketing Professional Services, and the Cambridge Boat Club.

Smith lives in Newton, Massachusetts, with her two children. Her 14-year-old daughter, Grace, currently rows for Community Rowing in Boston and her 12-year-old son, Jack, is a hockey player, although his mother hopes that he will find himself behind an oar one day.
